Lynne has been practising yoga for about twenty years and teaching for twelve of those. Lynne teaches Hatha, Pregnancy, Post-Natal yoga and one to one tuition (therapeutic where necessary). Lynne’s style of yoga is a combination of her yoga experience over the years but has strong influences from a mixture of Iyengar and Scaravelli yoga. All of Lynne’s classes include pranayama (breathing practise), asana (physical postures), meditation and relaxation. Lynne believes that everyone and anyone can practise yoga and teaches in a way that allows you to practise more gently, or with more strength depending on your day, building strength, flexibility and focus gradually in each of her classes.
Natalie is a massage therapist, Reiki master and teacher and has a BSc in Cognitive Neuroscience from the University of Sussex.
Along with raising her two young children, she leads an active life including running, trekking, dancing and working on her allotment. She has a love for rhythm and music and can frequently be found in the healing fields of music festivals around the UK.
Natalie is a member and insured under the Federation of Holistic Therapists.
Natalie’s massage style focuses on alleviating pain, stiffness and muscular aches. She combines deep tissue techniques with relaxing movements to provide an effective while soothing treatment. She has a wide repertoire of techniques, which can be applied at a pressure to suit each customer. As a body and energy worker she uses each treatment on its own or in combination to best suit your needs.
Natalie offers a variety of treatments including: Deep Tissue, Swedish, Holistic, Himalayan Hot Salt Stone, Seated and Thai foot massage.

Sophie has a breadth of experience and has been offering treatments since 1998, including Aromatherapy, Shiatsu, Reiki Healing, Reflexology and Natural Facial treatments.
She specialises in emotional imbalances and stress-related problems, muscular tension and pain. She is also the founder of the Essential Blends natural and organic skincare range.
YOGA CARDIO CORE
This challenging yoga style fitness class mixes yoga, cardio and body weight core exercises in a continuous yoga flow strengthening and toning the whole body.
Each week the classes can vary but they all start with a warm up and finish with a cool down, stretch and relaxation that is very much needed!
Although this class can be challenging, classes can be modified to suit different levels of fitness.
I am a full time mother, part time student and yoga practitioner, I was first introduced to yoga over 20 years ago at the age of 15, after this time I continued to practice intermittently over the next 13 years attending classes and practicing at home, when I fell pregnant 7 years ago I took up weekly private classes to help with discomfort and stress management, here I learnt allot about how my body was so adaptable and strong and miraculous, it was a gift to experience this time and it sparked a deep new found affinity with my practice. Since the birth of my son I have continued my practice when possible along with guided meditation and ongoing personal mindfulness training which then sparked my wish to enrol on to a yoga teacher training course last summer. I was lucky enough to study locally in Brighton, where I spent 200 hours on an intensive month long course, we focused on foundations, and developing a safe and effective practice that follows the modified primary ashtanga series. My teaching style is one that encourages each student to listen to their inner wisdom. With the outcome of promoting self-practice and self-responsibility, to offer a tool for re-connecting. This is the place where yoga truly begins in each of our own individual lives. By practicing yoga we are better equipped to rise to the challenge of living.
Pilates and Yoga Teacher
Amanda has been a Pilates instructor for fifteen years. She is a passionate protagonist for movement, focusing on strength and flexibility, and has been inspired to concentrate on rehabilitation work both in small class groups and on a one-to-one basis. The emphasis of her teaching is precision but also fun, using her knowledge to help people do what they enjoy, whether they are walking their dog on the Downs or playing with their children without pain. She aspires to help clients meet their goals by retraining their bodies and working with them to create awareness. Her aim is to keep them healthy, strong and injury free. A qualified Breast Cancer Exercise Specialist, Amanda also works in a voluntary capacity in the Chemotherapy Department at The Montefiore Hospital in Hove.
Andrew has been playing (Chinese approach) Tai Chi and Qigong for 30 years. He seeks to make learning fun while fully respecting the knowledge of Chi handed down by the Master’s who discovered and passed on their insights. He is a father, grandfather, surfer, writer and runs a business.
Sue has been practicing yoga for the last 20 years. Her desire to teach was piqued when she discovered Kundalini Yoga and went on to train with Maya Fiennes on her Yoga For Real Life programme. Sue also has over 20 years experience as a Complementary Health Practitioner.
Kundalini Yoga combines pranayama, movement, mantra, meditation and relaxation. It’s a transformational practice which elevates our vibration giving us more energy, more creativity, more fun and real peace. A Kundalini class will leave you feeling calm, uplifted and inspired.

Katie has been practising Pilates for over 20 years. Due to a back injury 4 years ago she found her only relief was after a Pilates class so she decided to teach! With such an enormous passion for its controlled intelligent movements and healing benefits to the body, it has enabled many of her clients to continue to an active life-style often thought not possible.
She believes that Pilates is the ultimate form of exercise to help strengthen, lengthen and tone the body and is also a valuable tool to assist during rehabilitation. Pilates compliments many other exercises with the focus on breathing, the core and alignment.
She now runs various class ranging from beginners to intermediates, 1:1’s, pre and post-natal, neurological conditions and recently specialised in Pilates for Multiple Sclerosis.
Angie’s love for Shiatsu was kindled more than a decade ago and as a practitioner she is particularly interested in the impact stress, anxiety and trauma have on the body-mind and the support and relief Shiatsu can offer sufferers.
Shiatsu is a traditional Japanese healing art and is influenced by Chinese and Western knowledge. It is based on similar principles to acupuncture, but instead of needles the Shiatsu practitioner will use their hands. Shiatsu helps to rebalance the body's energy channels of vital energy (known as Ki in Japanese), to promote your well-being, support good physical, mental and emotional health and prevent illness. Shiatsu is a deeply relaxing experience.

I have been a Body Control Pilates instructor for 10 years. I originally trained as a dancer before taking a degree in performing arts. I began my career teaching circuit training, aerobics and aqua aerobics. I was particularly interested in the rehabilitation side of teaching clients in water and Pilates seemed like a natural progression. In 2003 I completed my training in Body Control mat teaching and have achieved Level 4 on the Register of Exercise Professionals. Over the past decade I have run regular classes and one-to-one sessions in Brighton and Hove, Rottingdean, Haywards Heath, Steyning and Shoreham-by-Sea. I have experience teaching clients with a wide range of needs and conditions, including pre- and post-pregnancy, osteoporosis and multiple sclerosis.
I have in last few years worked at a brain injury clinic in East Sussex teaching a wide range of people with different needs . This has been challenging and hugely rewarding for myself and the clients.
Lee is teaching the Monday Lunchtime Beginner’s class. She has been practicing yoga for 20 years since the birth of her second child and has a 500 hours certificate from the Vajrasati yoga school in Brighton. She aims to run as inclusive and supportive a session as possible, teaching for all skill levels, body types and ages. Her classes aim to take you through the fundamentals of yoga practice to nourish and nurture your mind, body and soul."
Local Primary school teacher, Sally is also a mother of two. Sally is a qualified yoga teacher for adults and children. She loves the feeling of calm and stillness and brings this to her classes for children and adults alike. Sally also encourages and loves the strength and focus that yoga makes available to all that practise.
Sally's classes provide time and space for people to focus on themselves, quietening their minds whilst awakening and stretching their bodies allowing them to gradually build strength and flexibility and stamina.

Katie Martin- Kids Yoga Teacher
Katie is a mother of two, a primary school teacher and a qualified children's yoga teacher. After noticing the great interest her own children had shown in her home yoga practice, she decided to take her own love of yoga and create Little Yoga Tribe - an opportunity for local children to experience the many benefits of yoga in a safe and happy environment.
She believes yoga can have a hugely positive impact on the emotional and physical wellbeing of children, and that introducing them to yoga at a young age will build positive foundations, confidence, concentration, strength and flexibility.

Vinyasa Yoga Teacher
Gemma is a graduate of the Seasonal Yoga Teacher Training (SYTT) Academy in Glasgow and is registered with the Yoga Alliance.
Gemma came to yoga during pregnancy and credits a daily practice of asanas (postures) and pranayama (breathing techniques) for keeping her mind and body healthy, and her ability to take life in her stride as a busy mum of four.
Since completing her 200 hour teaching training, Gemma has attended workshops with inspirational teachers such as Coral Brown, Tara Stiles, Kino MacGregor and David Swenson and she firmly believes that "a great teacher never stops being a student "

Jac is a registered Nutritional Therapist, with a Diploma in Naturopathic Nutrition from The College of Naturopathic Medicine (CNM). Nutritional Therapists provide advice to individuals about therapeutic diets and lifestyle, both for optimal health and in relation to health disorders. Jac will be starting in the Therapy Rooms from September, on Wednesday evenings (6-9pm) and alternate Saturday mornings (9am-1pm).
Hi! I’m looking forward to meeting and getting to know many of you at The Yoga and Wellness Rooms in the upcoming months. Here’s a little bit about me…
I became interested in nutrition and living a healthier life around the time I decided to quit smoking… and then developed issues with my gut and general wellbeing. I was sure it was supposed to be the other way around! I started doing a lot of my own research and experimenting with my diet but then decided to go back to school and study to make things official and spent 3 years with CNM to gain my diploma. It was hard work, but so worth it.
I love working with people to help them reach their health goals and also enjoy supporting health conditions such as gut issues, disordered eating, skin conditions and many more.
Some people who see nutritionists simply want to check that they are on the right track with regard to healthy eating and lifestyle, while others may want to lose weight or get help with their symptoms, so there’s no strict criteria. I recognise that each person is an individual with unique requirements and create personalised nutrition plans rather than using a ‘one size fits all’ approach.
